Job Posting - Podcast Engineer

Capital City News Group is hiring for a full-time Podcast Engineer who specializes in audio and content production.

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

Audio production including recoding, editing, and online publishing
Manage mic levels, phone calls, sound clips, imaging elements, and all other audio source content
Edit and upload show audio and features
Collaborate with other producers on story development
Manage and publish online content for website and digital channels
Manage the brand’s social media channels for the purpose of marketing and engaging with audiences, and driving traffic to the website, newsletter subscriptions, and podcast downloads
Maintain a content calendar that details digital content including podcast, newsletter, website articles, social media postings, and more
Conduct interviews and attend events, representing the brand
Research local, regional, national, and international affairs to stay up to date with current events
Liaise with other brands in the organization to co-produce marketing material
Liaise with sales team to bring in revenue

Requirements

Post-secondary diploma or degree in related field
A working understanding of podcast software, broadcasting, and audio technology
Intermediate to advanced digital audio editing skills
The ability to multitask, communicate, stay calm and trouble shoot in high pressure & evolving situations
The ability to anticipate and quickly react to an on-air situation
A creative thinker who enhances on air programming with appropriate music and sound effects in a timely manner
Friendly positive attitude
Strong computer skills
Familiarity with the news talk radio format and a desire to work in the radio broadcasting industry
