Why Are There So Few Family Doctors?

Lorem ipsum dolor

As Vancouver Island community Port McNeill loses one of its two family practitioners, we look at why Canada is so short on doctors, and how people who can't find one are meeting their medical needs.

Family doctors are in short supply across the country. Today on the show, we speak to Doctor Matthew Chow, President of Doctors of B.C. to find out why, and how we can change that. We also speak with Kyle Oram, a man living with Type 1 diabetes who moved to Victoria several years ago, but has still been unable to find a family doctor.
