Union says bus drivers are often forced to skip washroom breaks to resume bus service on time, meaning they go up to three hours without a break.

The union calls the certification, which comes after a driver vote in March, a landmark victory for gig workers.

More than 500 drivers signed union cards before UFCW applied for certification on March 10.
