Whether you're seeking organic produce, handcrafted goods, or just a lively atmosphere, these markets offer something for everyone. Here’s your go-to list for the 2025 season:
Moss Street Farmers Market - now open
Now in its 34th season, the Moss Street Farmers Market is one of Victoria’s most beloved and established outdoor markets. Held on the grounds of Sir James Douglas School, this bustling Saturday staple features a wide selection of over 120 vendors—everything from organic produce and artisan bread to handmade soap and gourmet snacks. What sets Moss Street apart is its commitment to local and organic producers, with 30+ certified farmers setting up each week.
The market is walkable and family-friendly, with shaded seating areas, local musicians, and fresh coffee and pastries to start your weekend right. It is a true neighbourhood staple that draws regulars and newcomers alike. It's also just steps from Beacon Hill Park, making it a perfect stop before or after a stroll.
James Bay Community Market - now open
Tucked in one of Victoria’s oldest and most historic neighbourhoods, the James Bay Community Market is a relaxed and welcoming Saturday morning destination. This market has deep community roots and a loyal following among locals who come for the friendly atmosphere and wide range of vendors. You’ll find fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, local honey, handmade crafts, and even fresh flowers to brighten your home. Live music often provides the backdrop, creating a laid-back atmosphere that invites you to linger. Located just a short walk from the Inner Harbour and Fisherman’s Wharf, it’s ideal for pairing your market outing with a stroll by the water. Esquimalt Farmers Market - now open
A vibrant Thursday evening tradition, the Esquimalt Farmers Market brings a festive and family-friendly energy to Memorial Park every week. Since its launch in 2015, it has grown into one of Greater Victoria’s most popular markets, thanks to its mix of fresh produce, food trucks, local artisans, and live entertainment. The market is fully outdoors during summer and beautifully set among large trees and open lawns—ideal for picnicking and browsing. You’ll often find unique pop-up vendors and community groups, making it more than just a shopping stop. It’s a place to meet neighbours, try new food, and enjoy a relaxed summer evening under the trees. Whether you’re picking up weekly groceries or just want a night out, this market delivers.

Goldstream Farmers Market - now open
Located in the heart of Langford, the Goldstream Farmers Market is a vibrant community hub where everything is homemade, handmade, or homegrown. Held every Saturday from May 10 to October 11, 2025. Visitors can explore a diverse array of vendors offering local fruits and vegetables, fresh-baked breads and goodies, unique crafts, and textile creations. The market also features live music, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for all ages. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor exploring the region, the Goldstream Farmers Market offers a delightful taste of Langford's vibrant community spirit.
Sooke Country Market - now open
Sooke Country Market hosts vendors selling an array of goods, including fish, produce, baked goods, and maple syrup. It is also home to craft vendors selling art, textiles, and ceramics. It takes place every Saturday on the field above Sooke Fire Hall.
Metchosin Farmers Market - now open
This charming country market offers a delightful escape from the urban bustle. Open from Mother’s Day to October this year, Metchosin Farmers Market is a true homestyle country market specializing in everything homemade, handmade, and homegrown. Enjoy all the local treats they have to offer while strolling through Metchosin’s calm rolling hills.
Bastion Square Market - now open
Right in the charm of downtown’s Bastion Square, this market runs Thursday to Sunday and offers a unique mix of artisan vendors, music, and street theatre in a historic setting. Unlike more produce-heavy markets, Bastion leans into arts, crafts, handmade goods, and lifestyle items, making it a great place to find a one-of-a-kind gift or home decor piece. The views over the Inner Harbour and the surrounding architecture add a distinctive flair. If you’re looking to pair your market stroll with some downtown sightseeing, Bastion Square is a great fit.
Sidney Street Market - June
A long-running favourite on the Saanich Peninsula, the Sidney Street Market transforms Beacon Avenue into a bustling, pedestrian-only market every Thursday night in summer. It’s a lively, family-friendly affair filled with everything from farm-fresh produce and handmade crafts to street food and local entertainment. As the sun sets over the water, the town hums with activity, and the market takes on a festival feel. Visitors and locals alike flock here for its energy and variety, with over 150 vendors often lining the street. If you love a market with lots of foot traffic, live music, and an old-fashioned community buzz, this one’s worth the drive.
Sooke Night Market – June
Hosted on the grounds of the Sooke Region Museum, this Thursday evening market highlights our rich heritage food producers, artists, artisans, and entrepreneurs in the area. The Sooke Night Market features more than 40 vendors each week, offering a lively mix of farm-fresh produce, locally made crafts, art, baked goods, jams, hot food, and more. What makes it special is the warm, West Coast community vibe—families gather for a relaxed evening with live music, food trucks, and scenic forest-meets-ocean surroundings. It's the perfect place to wind down your day and support local makers.
Peninsula Country Market - June
Held on the Saanich Fairgrounds, the Peninsula Country Market serves the Saanich Peninsula communities, but also draws visitors throughout the South Island for its classic country charm and family atmosphere. This farmers market sells produce, crafts, and baked goods. It also boasts an educational activity-based kid zone that includes story time circles and face painting. The market has live performances each week. If you want to get a real taste of the agricultural community outside the city core, this market is a must.
North Saanich Farm Market - June
About a half hour drive from downtown Victoria, the North Saanich Farm Market is well worth a visit this summer for their wide selection of unique local goods (hello Saanich microgreens and “secret garden” flowers) as well as their lineup of live music performances, making for perfect Saturday mornings all summer long. The market officially opens June 7.
This season marks the market's 18th year, featuring a diverse array of vendors offering certified organic produce, fresh seafood, artisanal baked goods, handcrafted soaps, and more. New additions include Lena Lily Farm with certified organic produce and Fireweed Farms offering medicinal and ornamental plants.
Oak Bay Village Night Market - June
This European-style market happens once a month throughout the summer. Shop for street food, beer, wine, baked goods, and produce. The market also hosts live music and magic shows. Artisan vendors sell jewellery, soaps, and art.
PKOLS Market in Gordon Head – June (new for 2025)
A fresh new addition to Greater Victoria’s market scene, PKOLS Market launches this summer in the heart of Gordon Head. Named after the nearby sacred mountain and rooted in community values, this Sunday market promises a vibrant mix of local farmers, food vendors, makers, and crafters. Held at Lambrick Park in Gordon Head, the market is designed to be accessible, family-friendly, and fun, with live entertainment, contests, and a laid-back vibe. Free parking and admission make it easy to drop by and enjoy a relaxing weekend stroll while supporting local businesses.
Oaklands Sunset Market - July
Short but sweet, the Oaklands Sunset Market is a summertime gem that turns a small neighbourhood green space into a buzzing community hub every Wednesday night in July and August. Think picnic blankets on the grass, kids dancing to live folk bands, and neighbours catching up over wood-fired pizza or vegan tacos. Vendors span a solid mix of produce, preserves, crafts, and baked goods, while the rotating food trucks and licensed beer garden give it a casual festival vibe. If you’re looking to unwind midweek and support hyper-local makers, Oaklands is the spot. It feels like a backyard party—but with better snacks.
Ship Point Night Market - TBA
Uniquely located in Victoria’s Inner Harbour overlooking the Causeway Marina, Ship Point Market is a one-of-a-kind market experience in the city. For one, it runs late (until 10:30pm on weekends) allowing visitors to admire the sunset and explore Victoria’s nightlife and the harbour’s dazzling lights. While the specific dates for the 2025 season are yet to be announced, the Ship Point Night Market traditionally operates from mid-July through early September.
