St. Patrick’s Day events happening this weekend in Greater Victoria

Sunday is St. Patrick’s Day, a day to celebrate the patron saint of Ireland—or simply an opportunity to drink green beers with your friends. From Irish cultural celebrations, including music, dance, and history, to some late-night fun, there are plenty of ways to have some mighty craic this St. Paddy’s Day in Greater Victoria. Don’t forget to wear a little—or a lot—of green this weekend!

Saturday, March 16

Saint Patrick (Padraig): Myths, Tradition, and Miracles

Learn about the Irish saint who inspired the holiday at this historical presentation, happening at St. John the Divine Church at 4pm.

St. Patrick’s Day Party at Wicket Hall

Celebrate St. Patrick’s with a night of dancing on Saturday at 9pm. See if you have the luck of the Irish on your side, with a chance to win $500.

Vancouver Island Brewing St. Patrick’s Singles Party

Get lucky in love on Saturday with this Irish-themed single’s mixer. One floor will be dedicated to those aged 19-45 and another for those 40+.

Thrifty Foods St. Patrick’s Day Festival

Head to Government St, between Fort and Yates, to enjoy live music, Irish dancing, and family-friendly activities.

Grab a Guinness and hear some live Celtic music all afternoon at a pub dedicated to all things Irish, from 12pm to 12am.

Try a St. Paddy’s twist on Victoria’s favourite cocktail with shamrock shake shafts, plus Dunkel beef stew and bread pudding on special all day.  

St. Patrick’s Celebration with Q Brooke Bachand
